Relentless Hope

Christ’s tomb has a broken seal, a stone rolled aside from the entrance, and a void within. That scene serves as a visual reminder of hope no matter what. Death is the most extreme negative that we will face—and we will all face it, but the open tomb of Jesus pictures relentless hope for us as his people.

If an empty tomb can follow a deadly cross, good can follow anything. As the Lord endured the cross because of what lay beyond it, we cling to relentless hope through everything we encounter that would lead to defeat, failure, and final end.

The bread and fruit of the vine represent Christ’s death for us and by extension all its aspects and implications, especially hope.
