Ezekiel Chapter 2
Ezekiel’s Call
1 “Son of man, stand up so I can talk to you!” 2 When the Spirit stood me up, 3 he said,
“I’m sending you to the Israelites, a rebellious people. They and their ancestors have been sinning against me to this day. 4 Tell those impudent, stubborn children, ‘The Lord GOD says.’ 5 Whether they listen or not, they’ll know a prophet’s been there. 6 Don’t be afraid of them or intimidated by what they say, though you’re surrounded by briars and thorns and sitting on scorpions. 7 Tell them what I’ve said whether they listen or not.
Ezek 2:1-7
8 “Don’t be like that rebellious house. Eat what I’m giving you.” 9 A hand held out a scroll to me. 10 When he unrolled it for me, I could see writing on both sides—lamentations, mourning, and misfortune. 1 “Eat this scroll and go speak to Israel.” 2 So I opened my mouth, and he fed it to me. 3 It tasted sweet like honey. Ezek 2:8-3:3
