Psalms Chapter 115

1 Not to us, LORD, not to us,

      but to you be honor

      because of your enduring love and faithfulness.

2 Why should the nations say,

      “Where’s their God?”

3 Our God is in heaven,

      where he accomplishes what he intends.

4 Their man-made idols are just silver and gold

         5with mouths that can’t talk,

      eyes that can’t see,

         6ears that can’t hear,

      noses that can’t smell,

         7hands that can’t feel,

      feet that can’t walk,

      throats that can’t make a sound!

8 The ones that make them will become like them,

      likewise everybody that relies on them.

Ps 115:1-8

9 Israel, trust in the LORD;

                  he’s your helper and shield.

10 House of Aaron, trust in the LORD;

                  he’s your helper and shield.

11 All of you that respect the LORD, trust in him;

                  he’s your helper and shield.

12 He cares about you; he’ll bless you;

            Israel and Aaron;

         13he’ll bless everyone that respects him,

            least and greatest.

14 May he increase you and your children;

         15may the Maker of earth and sky bless you.

Ps 115:9-15

16 The sky belongs to him,

      but he’s given us the earth.

17 The dead don’t praise the LORD;

      nobody does that descends into silence;

18 but we’ll bless him

      from now on forever.

                                                Hallelujah!
