Psalms Chapter 25
A Psalm of David
1 I hold my life up to you, LORD;
2 I trust you;
don’t let me down
or let my enemies celebrate over my defeat.
3 Nobody that waits for you will be discredited;
people who deal treacherously
are the ones that will be discredited.
Ps 25:1-3
4 LORD, let me know your ways;
teach me your paths;
5lead me in your truth
because you keep me safe;
I’ll always depend on you.
6 Remember your mercy and enduring love
that have existed from ages past.
7 Don’t keep in mind the sins I committed when I was young;
remember me in the light of your enduring love.
Ps 25:4-7
8 The LORD is good and just,
so he instructs sinners in his way
9and leads the humble in what’s right.
10 Everything he does comes from truth and enduring love
for those who keep his covenant and testimonies.
11 For your own honor,
pardon my sin because it’s great.
Ps 25:8-11
12 Who of you respect the LORD?
He’ll instruct you in what to choose
13so you’ll keep succeeding
and your offspring will inherit the land.
14 People that respect the LORD are his friends;
he’ll make his covenant known to them.
15 I keep looking to him
because he untangles my feet from my enemies’ net.
Ps 25:12-15
16 Turn to me and be gracious
because I’m lonely and downcast.
17 Relieve me of my pain and anguish,
and lift me out of my doldrums.
18 Look at my troubles
and forgive my sin.
Ps 25:16-18
19 Look at all the enemies I have
that hate me so much!
20 Guard my life and rescue me;
don’t let me regret taking refuge in you.
21 Oh that integrity and godliness would protect me
because I depend on you.
22 Redeem Israel, God, from all its troubles.
Ps 25:19-22
