2 Chronicles Chapter 4

Temple Furnishings

1 He made

                  a bronze altar 30 x 30 x 15ft high;

         2a circular, cast-metal sea 15ft from brim to brim, 7½ft deep and 45ft around.

3 Figures of gourds were under it, entirely circling the sea (45ft). The oxen were in 2 rows cast in one piece with the Sea. 4 It stood on 12 oxen, 3 facing out in each direction with their hindquarters inward. 5 It was 4ins thick, with a brim like a cup—like a lily blossom. It could hold 27,000 gallons 3,000 baths.

         6He made 10 basins to wash in, and set 5 on each side for rinsing things for the burnt offering; but the sea was for the priests to wash in;

         710 golden lampstands in the way prescribed, and set them in the Temple, 5 on each side;                   2 Ch 4:1-7

         810 tables placed in the Temple, 5 on each side;

      100 gold bowls;

         9the court of priests, the great court, and bronze-plated doors for the court.

10 He set the sea on the right side of the Temple toward the southeast. 2 Ch 4:8-10

11 Huram made the pails, shovels, and bowls, and finished the work for King Solomon on God’s Temple: 12 the 2 pillars, the bowls and 2 capitals on top of the pillars, the 2 networks to cover the 2 bowls on the capitals; 13 the 400 pomegranates for the 2 networks, 2 rows for each network to cover the 2 bowls of the capitals, 14 the stands and the basins on the stands, 15 the sea with 12 oxen under it.

16 Huram made the pails, shovels, forks, and utensils out of polished bronze. 17 The king had them cast in the clay soil between Succoth and Zeredah on the Jordan plain. 18 Solomon made these utensils in great numbers. The weight of the bronze couldn’t be calculated.

19 Solomon made everything in God’s Temple out of purest gold:  the altar, the tables for the Bread of the Presence, 20 the lampstands with their lamps to burn in front of the inner sanctuary as prescribed, 21 the flowers, lamps, tongs; 22 the snuffers, bowls, spoons, firepans; the entrance to the Temple, its inner doors for the Holy of Holies, and the doors of the Temple (the nave). 2 Ch 4:11-22
