2 Kings Chapter 15
Azariah Rules in Judah
1 In the twenty-seventh year of JeroboamII king in Israel, Azariah/Uzziah Ben-Amaziah became king in Judah. 2 He was 16 and ruled for 52 years in Jerusalem. His mother was Jecoliah of Jerusalem. 3 He did what was good like his father, 4 but he didn’t take away the high places. The people still sacrificed and burned incense on them. 5 Yahveh made him a leper till he died. He lived in a separate house while his son Jotham managed the palace and judged the people. 6 The rest of the acts of Azariah are recorded in The Chronicles of the Kings of Judah. 7 He died and they buried him in The City of David, and Jotham became king. 2 Kg 15:1-7

8 In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah/Uzziah king in Judah, Zechariah Ben-JeroboamII became king over Israel in Samaria, and ruled for 6 months. 9 He didn’t stop the sins of JeroboamI Ben-Nebat that got Israel to sin. 10 Shallum Ben-Jabesh plotted against him and struck him in the people’s presence and killed him. 11 The rest of the acts of Zechariah are recorded in The Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
12 This is the message Yahveh gave Jehu, “Your sons will sit on Israel’s throne for four generations.” That’s what happened. 2 Kg 15:8-12
Shallum Rules in Israel
13 Shallum became king in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah/Azariah, king of Judah, and ruled for 1 month in Samaria. 14 Then Menahem Ben-Gadi went up from Tirzah to Samaria and struck Shallum and became king. 15 The rest of the acts of Shallum and his plot are recorded in The Chronicles of the Kings of Israel. 16 Menahem struck Tiphsah and everybody in and around it because they didn’t open to him. He ripped up its pregnant women.

17 In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah/Uzziah, king of Judah, Menahem became king in Israel and ruled for 10 years in Samaria. 18 He never stopped doing the sins of JeroboamI that got Israel to sin.
19 Pul, king of Assyria, came against the country, and Menahem gave him 37¾ tons 1,000 talents of silver so he would be with him to strengthen the kingdom under his rule. 20 Then Menahem exacted the money from important men with wealth in Israel, 1¼ lbs 50 shekels of silver from each one to pay the king of Assyria. The king of Assyria went back. 21 The rest of the acts of Menahem are recorded in The Chronicles of the Kings of Israel. 22 He died and his son Pekahiah became king. 2 Kg 15:13-22
Pekahiah Rules in Israel
23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah/Uzziah, king of Judah, Pekahiah became king of Israel in Samaria and ruled for 2 years. 24 He didn’t stop doing the sins of JeroboamI that got Israel to sin. 25 Then Pekah Ben-Remaliah, his officer, plotted against him and struck him in the fortress of the king’s palace with Argob and Arieh. 50 Gileadites helped him; he killed Pekahiah and became king. 26 The rest of the acts of Pekahiah are recorded in The Chronicles of the Kings of Israel. 2 Kg 15:23-26

27 In the fifty-second year of Azariah/Uzziah, king of Judah, Pekah Ben-Remaliah became king of Israel in Samaria and ruled for 20 years. 28 He didn’t stop doing the sins of JeroboamI that got Israel to sin.
29 In his reign, Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria, came and captured Ijon, Abel-beth-maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, Galilee, and Naphtali. He took them captive to Assyria. 30 Hoshea Ben-Elah plotted against Pekah and struck him and became king in the twentieth year of Jotham Ben-Uzziah/Azariah. 31 The rest of the acts of Pekah are recorded in The Chronicles of the Kings of Israel. 2 Kg 15:27-31
Jotham Rules in Judah
32 In the second year of Pekah, Jotham Ben-Uzziah/Azariah became king in Judah. 33 He was 25 and ruled for 16 years in Jerusalem. His mother was Jerusha Bat-Zadok. 34 He did what was good, everything his father had done. 35 But he didn’t take away the high places. The people still sacrificed and burned incense on them. He built the upper gate of Yahveh’s Temple. 36 The rest of the acts of Jotham are recorded in The Chronicles of the Kings of Judah. 37 In those days Yahveh began to send Rezin, king of Aram, and Pekah Ben-Remaliah against Judah. 38 Jotham died and they buried him in The City of David. His son Ahaz became king. 2 Kg 15:32-38
