Joshua Chapter 12

List of Defeated Kings

1 These are the kings the Israelites defeated and whose land they took east of the Jordan—from the Wadi Arnon to Mount Hermon with all the eastern Arabah:

2 Sihon, king of the Amorites. He lived in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, on the edge of the valley of the Arnon—from the middle of the valley to the river Jabbok, which is the boundary with the Ammonites, that is, half of Gilead, 3 and the Arabah to the Sea of Chinneroth east, and in the direction of Beth-jeshimoth to the Sea of Arabah (the Dead Sea), south to the foot of Pisgah.

4 Og, king of Bashan, one of the remaining Rephaim that lived at Ashtaroth and Edrei 5 and ruled Mount Hermon, Salecah, all Bashan to the boundary of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and half of Gilead to the boundary of Sihon, king of Heshbon.

6 Moses and Israel gave their land to Reuben, Gad, and the Manasseh half-tribe.
