Numbers Chapter 34

Boundaries of the Land

34:1-2Yahveh told Moses to say to Israel,

“When you go into Canaan, 3 your south border will run from the Wilderness of Zin alongside Edom from the end of the Dead Sea eastward. 4 Your border will turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim and go on along to Zin. It will end south of Kadesh-barnea, go out to Hazaraddar, and on along to Azmon. 5 The border will turn from Azmon to where the River of Egypt empties into the Mediterranean Sea.

Num 34:1-5

6 “Your west border will be the Mediterranean Sea.

7 “Your north border will stretch from the Mediterranean Sea to Mount Hor, 8 Lebo-hamath, Zedad, 9 Ziphron, and end at Hazar-enan.

10 “Your east border will run from Hazar-enan to Shepham 11 down to Riblah on the east of Ain down to the slopes east of the Sea of Chinnereth. 12 It will go down to the Jordan and on down to the Dead Sea.”

          13 Moses told Israel,

“That’s the land you’ll inherit by lot, land Yahveh told you to give to the-nine-and-a-half tribes. 14-15 Reuben, Gad, and the Manasseh half-tribe have received their inheritance 15 beyond the Jordan.”

Num 34:6-15
