Psalms Chapter 118
1 Be grateful to Yahveh because he’s good;
his love lasts forever.
2 Let Israel say,
“His love lasts forever.”
3 Let the house of Aaron house say,
“His love lasts forever.”
4 Let those that respect Yahveh say,
“His love lasts forever.”
Ps 118:1-4
5 I called on Yahveh in my distress;
he answered me and set me free.
6 HeY is on my side; so I won’t be afraid;
what can mortals do to me?
7 He’s beside me to help me;
so I’ll look in triumph at those who hate me.
8 It’s better to take refuge in Yahveh than trust in people,
9to take refuge in him than put trust in rulers.
Ps 118:5-9
10 All the nations surrounded me;
in Yahveh’s name I destroyed them.
11 They surrounded me on every side;
in Yahveh’s name I destroyed them.
12 They swarmed around me like bees;
they stung like burning thorns;
in Yahveh’s name I destroyed them.
13 They shoved me back so hard I started to fall,
but Yahveh came to my aid.
14 He’s my strength and song;
he’s my salvation.
Ps 118:10-14
15 Joyful shouting over deliverance
goes on in the tents of good people;
Yahveh’s right hand has done valiantly.
16 HeY has lifted high his right hand;
hisY right hand has done mighty things.
17I’ll live to tell what he’s done.
18 He disciplined me severely,
but he didn’t let me die.
Ps 118:15-18
19 Open the gate to goodness for me
so I can go in and thank Yahveh.
20 This is his gate;
good people enter through it.
21 Thank you for answering me;
you’ve become my salvation.
Ps 118:19-21
22 The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone.
23 That’s Yahveh’s doing;
it’s amazing to us.
24 Today is a day Yahveh has made;
let’s celebrate and be happy in it.
25 Yahveh, save us
and send us prosperity.
26 Blessed is the one that comes in Yahveh’s name;
we bless you from hisY Temple.
27 Yahveh is God; he gives us light;
tie the festival sacrifice to the horns of the altar.
28 You’re my God; I thank you;
you’re my God; I praise you.
29 Give thanks to Yahveh because he’s good;
his love lasts forever.
