Psalms Chapter 124
A Song of Ascents. by David
1 Let Israel acknowledge,
“If Yahveh hadn’t taken our side
2when people attacked us,
3they would have swallowed us alive in their fury,
4the water would have overwhelmed us,
the river would have rushed over us
5the raging water would’ve drowned us.”
6 Bless Yahveh,
who didn’t let us be torn to pieces in their teeth.
7We escaped like a bird from a trapper’s snare;
the snare broke and we got away.
8 Our help comes from Yahveh,
maker of earth and sky.
