Psalms Chapter 145
A Psalm of Praise. by David
1 I’ll praise you highly, my God and king,
and bless you forever.
2 I’ll bless you every day
and praise you from now on.
3 You’re great and deserve great praise;
you have a greatness we have no way to measure.
4 One generation will praise your works to the next
and tell about the powerful things you’ve done.
5 They’ll think about your majestic glory and splendor
and about your amazing acts.
6 People will talk about the power evident in your awesome deeds
and tell how great you are.
7 They’ll overflow with the fame of your abundant goodness
and loudly sing about your godliness.
Ps 145:1-7
8 Yahveh is gracious and merciful,
slow to get angry and great in enduring love.
9 He’s good to everyone;
his mercy spreads out across his whole creation.
10 Everything he’s made will thank him;
his holy people will bless him.
11 They’ll speak of the honor his kingdom has
and talk about his power
12to make known his powerful deeds
and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
13 His kingdom lasts forever;
his dominion continues across al generations.
Ps 145:8-13
14 Yahveh catches the ones that fall down
and straightens up those who are bent over.
15 Everyone looks to him for help,
and he gives them their food as needed.
16 He meets the needs of every living thing.
17 Yahveh shows his goodness in everything he does,
his kindness in every deed.
18 He’s near to those who call on him,
that call on him sincerely.
19 He provides for the people who respect him;
he hears their call and saves them.
20 He protects those who love him,
but destroys the sinful.
21 I’ll speak praise to Yahveh;
everyone will bless him forever.
