Psalms Chapter 146

1 Praise Yahveh, my soul!

2 I’ll praise my God as long as I live

and sing praises to him as long as I’m here.

3 Don’t rely on rulers,

      mortals, who can’t help.

4 They quit breathing and go back into the ground;

their plans come to an end at the same time.

5 How blessed they are that have Jacob’s God to help them,

      whose hope lies in Yahveh

6 that made earth and sky,

the ocean and everything in them,

            that’s dependable forever,

7 who renders justice to the oppressed,

            who feeds the hungry

                  and sets the prisoners free.

Ps 146:1-7

8 He gives sight to the blind,

            lifts up the burdened,

            and loves the godly.

      9 He protects foreigners

and supports widows and the fatherless,

            but thwarts the sinful.

10 Yahveh will reign forever,

your God, Zion, to all generations.

                                                Hallelujah!

Ps 146:8-10
