Psalms Chapter 148

                                                                        ¹Hallelujah!

         Praise Yahveh from heaven;

      praise him in the sky.

² Praise him, all his hosts of angels.

³ Praise him, sun and moon

      and shining stars.

⁴ Praise him, highest heaven,

      and water vapor in the sky.

⁵ Let them praise Yahveh

            because he commanded and they came to be.

         ⁶He established them forever

            by a decree that won’t expire.                                   

Ps 148:1-6

⁷ Praise Yahveh from earth,

            you sea monsters and all the great deep,

         ⁸fire and hail, snow and clouds,

            stormy wind fulfilling his command,

         ⁹mountains and hills,

            fruit trees and cedars,

         ¹⁰wild animals and livestock,

            crawling things and flying birds,

         ¹¹kings of the earth and all the nations,

                                          officials and judges

                                    ¹² young men and virgins,

            old men and children.

¹³ Praise Yahveh

      because he alone is to be esteemed;

      his honor towers higher than earth and sky.

         ¹⁴He makes his people strong

      and establishes praise for his holy nation,

            for Israel that’s near him.                                                                                                                                                       Hallelujah!
