Psalms Chapter 149
1Hallelujah!
Sing Yahveh a new song;
praise him in the assembly of his holy people.
2 Be happy in your Maker, Israel;
celebrate your King, people of Zion.
3 Praise him with dancing;
sing praises with tambourines and lyres,
4because Yahveh delights in you
and graces harassed people with deliverance.
Ps 149:1-4
5 Holy people, celebrate in glory;
sing for joy on your couches.
6 Have the high praises of God in your voices
and two-edged swords in your hands
7 to carry out vengeance on nations
and punishment on peoples,
8 to bind kings with chains
and nobles with iron restraints,
9 to carry out prescribed judgment on them.
That’s an honor for all his holy people.
