Psalms Chapter 98

A Psalm

¹ Sing a new song to Yahveh

            because he’s done outstanding things;

      his right hand and holy arm have given him victory.

² He has made his salvation known

      and revealed his goodness to the nations.

³ He has remembered his enduring love

                  and faithfulness to Israel;

      people the earth over have seen

            the deliverance our God gives.

Ps 98:1-3

⁴ Make a joyful sound to Yahveh, all the earth;

         break out in joyful song.

⁵ Sing praises to him with lyre and melody;

         ⁶make a joyful sound with trumpets and rams’ horns

      to the King, Yahveh.

⁷ Let the ocean roar and everything in it,

      the world and those who live here.

⁸ Let the rivers clap their hands;

      let the mountains sing ⁹ to Yahveh

      because he’s coming to judge the world righteously

            and its people fairly.
