John Chapter 3

3:1And there-was (a) man of the Pharisees, Nicodemus name to-him, (a) ruler of-the Jews. 2 This-one came to-him during–(the)-night, and said to-him, “Rabbi, we-know that you-have-come (as a) teacher from God, for nobody is-able to-do these [the] signs that you are-doing unless2 [the] God is with him.”

 3 Jesus answered and said to-him, “Truly, truly, I-tell you, unless2 somebody is-born from-above/again, he-is┘not└able to-see the kingdom of-[the] God.

4 [The] Nicodemus says to him, “How is┘(a) man└able to-be-born being (an) old-man? He-is┘not┘┘└able to-enter into the womb of-the mother of-him a-second-time and be-born, └└is-he?”

5 Jesus answered,

“Truly, truly, I-tell you, unless2 (a)-person is-born from water and spirit, he-is┘not└able to enter into the kingdom of-[the] God. 6 The-thing born out-of the flesh is flesh, and the-thing born out-of the spirit is spirit. 7 Do┘not└marvel that I-said to-you, ‘It-is-necessary for youpl to-be-born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it-wants, and yousg hear the sound of-it, but you-do┘not└know whence it-comes or where it-goes. Thus is every the-one born of the spirit.”

9 Nicodemus answered and said to-him, “How are┘these-things└able to-happen?”

10 Jesus answered and said to-him,

“You are [the]/a teacher of-[the] Israel, and do┘not└know these-things? 11 Truly, truly, I-tell you that we-are-talking-about what we-know, and we-are-testifying-about what we-have-seen, and you-are┘not└receiving the testimony of-us. 12 If I-told youpl [the] earthly-things and youpl-do┘not└believe, how will-you-believe if I-tell you [the] heavenly-things? 13 And nobody has-ascended into [the] heaven except2 the-one having-descended out-of [the] heaven, the Son of-[the] Man. 14 And even-as Moses lifted-up the snake in the wilderness, so it-is-necessary for-the Son of-[the] Man to-be-lifted-up, 15 in-order-that everybody [the] believing in him may-have eternal life.

16 For [the] God so/so-much loved the world that he-gave the only-begotten [the] Son, in-order-that everybody the-one believing in him may┘not└be-destroyed, but have eternal life. 17 For [the] God did┘not└send the Son into the world in-order-that he-might-condemn the world, but in-order-that the world might-be-saved through him. 18 The-one believing in him is┘not└condemned, but the-one not believing has-condemned-himself/has-been condemned already, because he-has┘not└believed in the name of-the only-begotten Son of-[the] God. 19 And this is the condemnation: [that] [the] light has-come into the world, and [the] men loved [the] darkness rather than [the] light for the deeds of-them were evil. 20 For everybody [the-one] doing vile-things hates [the] light and does┘not└come to the light lest2 the deeds of-him may-be-reproved. 21 But the-one doing the truth comes to the light in-order-that the deeds of-him may-be-made-manifest that/because they-are worked in God.”

22 After these-things [the] Jesus and the disciples of-him went into the Judaea land, and he-was-staying there with them and was-baptizing. 23 And [the] John was baptizing in/at Aenon near [the] Salem because much water/many waters were there, and they-were-coming and being-baptized. 24 For [the] John was not yet cast into [the] prison. 25 Then (a) controversy arose from the disciples of-John with (a) Jew about purification. 26 And they-came to [the] John and said to-him, “Teacher, who was with you beyond the Jordan, to-whom you have-borne-testimony—behold, this-One is-baptizing and all are-coming to him.”

27 John answered and said,

“(A) man is┘not└able to-receive even one-thing unless2 it-has-been given2 to-him from [the] heaven. 28 You yourselves testify to-me that I-said [that], ‘I am not the Messiah,’ but [that] ‘I-have-been-sent2 before him.’ 29 The-one having the bride is the groom; and friend of-the groom the-one having-stood and hearing him rejoices with-joy/greatly rejoices. 30 It-is-necessary-for him to-increase, and me to-decrease. 31 The-one coming from above is above all-things/people; the-one being from the earth is of the earth and speaks from the earth, but the-one coming from [the] heaven [is above all-things/people]ms. 32 What he-has-seen and heard—this he testifies and nobody receives the testimony of-him. 33 The-one having-received the testimony of-him marked-with-a-seal that [the] God is true. 34 For whom [the] God sent speaks the words of-[the] God, for he-does┘not└give the spirit in/with measure. 35 The Father loves the Son and has-put all-things in the hand of-him. 36 The-one believing in the Son has eternal life; but the-one disbelieving the Son will┘not└see life, but the wrath of-[the] God remains on him.”
